You know what else i like is the little display device that you plug into the unit. i saved differert set-ups on it and can go through four different set-ups quickly. i really like how the tail doesn't blow out of a 300 foot tail slide! Or a fast backwards hurricane!

I don't know because I never flew a vbar. But I'm shocked at how this heli feels. It's almost like flying my synergy but faster. Some people told me with a vbar to watch out for the tail and they said this system did not have that problem

Shawn,

Been following your thread on the Rondo system. As you know I got the Vbar system and I did have tail wag problems initially. However, that problem was caused by two things, 1. the ESC was in Governor mode which was "clipping" the motor speed...once I reprogrammed the ESC to Helicopter/soft start 90% of the tail wag was eliminated, 2. the other 10% was mechanical(replaced tail rotor shaft/pulley - which was slightly bent - all I can say is that you have to check Align shafts - the new one still wasn't spinning true......go figure). Now I have no tail wag and the heli flies great.

Am glad to hear that your system is working great.....IMO flybarless systems will replace flybars in the very near future......

Yes, flybars will only be on antique helicopters.

Greg, im glad you fixed your problem. I didn't know you had issues too. So far the rondo is exceeding my expectaions. Once you learn the lingo and understand the operation, it is very easy work with.

Yup, your're correct....I suspect that the electronics of all these systems are equivalent....3-axis gyros, microprocesser, etc....the difference I suspect is in the algorithms that the programmers develop and the user interface. The more user friendly the software is, while still maintaining good control of the heli, will determine where the end user will migrate to....this includes well written manuals, instructional videos, etc......Vbar has done a good job of this, but needs to be improved upon.....
It's going to be interesting to see who ends up at the top of the list.......

Not defending here but
If your issues were all none of the fault of the VBAR, where does it need to be improved upon in you opinion?

$20 more, maybe. But the reason I have one is that I found one cheaper than the vbar. Brand new at that.

Improvements.....to start with better documentation/description/video for Bank Switching.....I found the info lacking and as such have not tried to do bank switching....this is probably because I am new to Vbar and am just learning this technology....but then I don't think I am the exception......I'll figure out the bank switching eventually, it's just not high on my priority list at present.......

Describe and explain what the various parameters are and changes would to the values will cause...applicable to the "expert menu"

As I said..Vbar has done a good job...just needs polishing....

I agree a complete explanation is needed for all parameters. There is a decent explanation @ http://www.vstabi.de but it could be improved IMO. I have not tried the bank switching, I am not quite that advanced yet Good luck.......Ron

The product that will move to the first place will be one that the majority of the people can understand easily and the software interface is user friendly.....if a product has lots of "geek talk" in the instructions, I suspect most people will not bother with it.....this stuff is very technical and complex as it deals with control theory, programming etc.....so the developers have the KISS challenge.....this may be a fine line

4.0 is "SUPER SIMPLE". You can DL the software, that is free, there are only two pages. Seriously if anyone thinks that the new V-Stabi 4.0 is difficult then well.... I won't say it, lol.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...
