Help w/ Tail pitch links binding on MT SE
The tail pitch links on my mini titan SE seem to be binding up on the tail shaft with even the slightest bit of screw tension. I've narrowed it down to them as the problem being that everything moves freely on the shaft until I tighten them down. I know people with the standard MT and the plastic links do not seem to have this problem. Just curious if I have a badly machined set as I have ordered new ones or if it is something of my doing. During flight this keeps my G770 constantly searching for position.

It could be a number of over tightening of parts PV0736/ Tail unit case to the PV0820/ Pitch Leaver, to the PV0748/ Double joint leaver to the PV0820/ Pitch link, to the PV0823/ Tail P Housing.. Anyone of over tightening one, more or all will give you the problems you're having.

The easy way to do it is to tighten things down and make a half quarter turn back off. With the use of threadlock all should be good This should help. Take care!

I just received today the plastic tail pitch links and put them on instead of the metal ones that came with my SE. They worked perfect, I could comfortable tighten them and have no binding. I also received new metal pitch links and installed them (thinking others might have bad from factory) and had same problem as before. I can only get the screw to stop spinning freely then go a 1/4 turn before it is binding again. I tried this before and upon hovering my gyro constantly searched and when I finished flying the tail was once again not sliding smoothly. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue. I can fix it by going with the plastic links but wanted to stay true to the factory metal tail.
