b400 first cp I have experiance with mcx cx2 and srb's. Getting a b400. What are the cheapest blades available (since I'll break some)? Do you have to buy eflight? Who sells the cheapest battery? Any other b400 comments welcome. Didnt get any response on the b400 site. Thanks for your help. |

Do you have to buy eflight? no you do not have to get the e-flite blades. Align woodys work well alsoWho sells the cheapest battery? not e-flite get rid of the eflite power conector and use what you like. deans are the most popular. pick up what ever batt's you like. I like outrage packs but they are not the cheapest. zippy packs seem to be the cheapest out there, but you'll see mixed reviews on them....I put the fun in dysFUNctional :) Team KBDD & Funding by TnPrintMasters.com |

they do more damage in a crash and you don't need that in the beginningI put the fun in dysFUNctional :) Team KBDD & Funding by TnPrintMasters.com |

Blade400 come with some very weak head parts that break easy, even with wood blades, I can't even imagine crash with CF blades.ಠ_ಠ HBK2 built with inexpensive parts! ٩๏̯͡๏)۶ Gaui425 |

cgage,When I was newbee pilot I felt the same way. When I asked a question I would get three million different responses with a million different opinions. I would also get all the "name brand" people that insisted that you had to use a certain name brand. True, you get what you pay for, but when you are learning cheap is not bad. You never want to skimp on electronics and gyros. Cheap electronics make it more difficult to learn to fly. Instead of learning to fly you are learning to fly and compensate for cheap electronics. The B400 is a good bird to learn on. I still have mine and find it difficult to get rid of. You don't need to buy the Eflite ones if you dont want to. Any 325mm blades will do. Align makes some good woodie blades. Make sure that they are balanced. Unbalanced blades will vibrate your heli to death and it is difficult to learn on. You can get a decent blade balancer at xheli or any other heli parts web store. A good balancer will ensure that your blades are ready to go. I check all my blades, even the high end ones to ensure that they are well balanced. Once you get comfortable and stop breaking blades, move up to a good set of fiber glass or carbon fiber. Mavrikk makes some good blades at a very fair price. Have fun!*** Real Pilots BEAT the air into submission! *** |

+1 on servosThat will be the biggest improvement in performance you can make on the B400. I kept replacing the originals until I got wise and put in a set of Hitec 65HB's. Big BIG difference!*** Real Pilots BEAT the air into submission! *** |
