Need help with making a stepdown for my tail servo.

Hi, Everyone

I'm using a Align 2in1 regulator(6 volts) and need to step down the volts to the tail servo. I will use a 1-amp Rectifier Diode to do this(It should work). Is there any reason I can't install the Diode in the servos lead

. That away there is't any extra plugs or wire. Thanks for any info, Gator

no need for the stepdown.

i been running 2 in 1 with BLS 251 in my trex 600 for 1 yr. with no problem.raymond

I dont know if it matters but I am using a Futaba s9256 Servo.

The Diode has a ring around one end of it. Does it matter witch way it is facing. Thanks for any info,Gator

Yes, if in the positive lead the stripe goes toward the servo, not the connector. If you get it backwards the servo will just not work at all as it will not get any voltage
