Vibe 90 SG Head... Where to get...
Does anyone know how I can get a full head assembly for the 90SG? I hate to part it out since its over $800 that way... I figure that JR has to have a part number for the whole head.... Any ideas?

I was going to get the VibeSG head for my Vibe90 3D. I found that it is going to be about $350 shipped from Japan and they have two versions. One is for 12mm main shaft and another one is for 12mm. I think I am going to be flying with what I have on my heli.

How it that rcjapan pricing is so much lower then manufacturer prices ?
Particularly the K&S parts for example.

If someone can shed some light or am I missing something here :-)

Does it really matter how they can sell so much cheaper than the manufacturer? As long as you are getting a good price, why question it. Its not like they are not reputable.I have dealt with them many times have yet to disappoint me. They have been able to provide me with parts that here in the US or Americas would never be available. ( ie Sylphide parts). I would really recommend them for hard to find parts or stuff that is not available here in the states.

Your reading way too much into my post. I never did say or suggest they are not reputable. My confusion was pricing or perhaps error.

What are the typical added cost with shipping and duty did you encounter and general wait time ?

They will tell you exacly how much for the shipping when they reply back with a 'quote' for your order. A typical order (50 size engine) can cost about $20 for shipping and gets in Canada in about 7 days.

thinking about bolting this head up to my trex 700. is it just one jesus bolt? also, would the trex 700 swash work with the SG head ok? by that I mean are the swash balls on the SG swash farther or closer to the mainshaft than on the 700 swash?

thanks

I have a much better solution for you, I have in the past invested hugely in head upgrades on different machines to only in the end replace them with a flybarless setup, you can get conversion heads for the rex or aftermarket, RJX etc for a fraction of the price, include vbar, sell your old gyro and cost will be close....but you will be in heli heaven.
Only problem is you'll never go back to paddles....ever!I still have 4 flybarred machines and never fly them anymore.
5 vbars and counting. Go for vstabi the new v4 is very easy to setup.
Now before you flybar junkies cut my throat i'm out of here
Common sense may not be common after all

well I have one local guy getting into flybarless and so far he likes it.

but a lot of people I talk to tell me that flybarless is far more predictable than flybars except when it does some weird stuff not even a flybared heli would do, and that stuff is completely unpredictable. one good thing about flybars is they are predictable in their odd tendencies.

I know scott gray has a flybared and flybarless vibe 90SG and he came to my local field and wouldn't even get the flybarless one out to fly it. he said it was still doing some really weird stuff.

scott I know you say you sometimes read peoples posts about you that are completely wrong, I hope I am not doing that.

I still like my flybars and am going to stick with them for a while. a good tracking flybared head with the right blade and paddle combo should give me the results I want without any weird tendencies.

True there is a lot of flybarless mods out there, but i can assure you of one thing,no weird tendencies with mikado's vbar, if your setup is correct you won't believe the difference, i just did another conversion for a friend on his trex 600 e yesterday, wish i could post his comments here, suffice to say he'now also converting his 500 rex.Common sense may not be common after all

But in case of F3C you cant't fly without paddles..

What parts do I need to have SG Head at my rex? And how about this swashplate. Will it be ok?
