These new Turnigy packs seem pretty good so far!
I just flew this new Turnigy 6s 2650 pack in my Trex 500 for the first time today, I was only planning on hovering 4 min the first few cycles, but I couldent resist and did a couple of back flips.
Wow! this pack seems to have more punch than my 2500 mah Outrage, but its still early days so I wont start gloating until Ive flown both a few times to properly to compare, I may have been a little over exited with my new pack.

On my scales the Outrage 2500 comes in at 380 grams, the Turnigy/Zippy is slightly heavier at 460 grams, I could not feel any difference flying with this extra weight, but did notice my heli was slightly drifting forward even though the CG seemed fine on the bench(may have to position the pack slightly further back than the outrage and also its a very windy day so a bit hard to tell).

The only prob ive found, but I must say this is the same with the the Outrage pack is I have to be very careful how I attach the canopy or the main gear rubs.

Just from the packageing and the decals on the pack it seems to me there trying to put across an image of better quality than previously with there unmarked Zippy packs, also something to note is it is rated to charge at 2c.

I have a feeling these packs may turn out to be a winner so long as they stand up to the test of time.

I purchased the Turnigy 20-30C 3000 Mah 6s1p packs for the 500 and they are only 30g heavier than the Outrage 25C 3000 6s1p. So far they seem pretty powerful.. Time will tell. But at the price.IT's what I do.

I just hope there still in stock in a couple of weeks so I can buy another one, or atleast get them back in stock a bit faster than the Zippy 6s 2650`s.

I feel sorry for the poor guys who have been waiting in line for god knows how long for the Zippy flightmax to come back in stock, only to have Hobbyking release what Im assuming are exactly the same packs under a different brand name.

Come to think, its a slap in the face to those guys still waiting in line, pretty low if you ask me.
