Multiplex Funjet Anyone have one? I know you are supposed to use an inrunner motor. Can you use an outrunner motor in it? Is the mount part #61 strong enough to hold it while it spins? |

a guy I fly with has one at the field. He has the 2800kv motor from hk. With a 5 cell lipo, he was going 130 plus on the radar. super fast plane, and they fly good if set up right.2nd place is the first loser. |

We use them with ducted fans and a high kv brushless motor. With 4S LiPo's they are fast too, being lighter they are very maneuverable. I used the Wemotech Mini Fan 480 http://www.modelflight.com.au/rc_mo...i_fan.htm#order There really isn't a way to mount an out runner motor on there.Take Care,

Thanks all for the info. I was hoping that it might work. I have a never been used spare 3899 kv brushless. I've never seen a Funjet in person but the pix of the motor mount looks like it is made of plastic. Part #60 looks like I can screw my motor onto. I plan to use 3s Lipos as I have a bunch of those. Is the Multiplex powerpack good or mediocre? |

Yea I looked at about 25 youtube videos and everyone is giggling in the background. I think I'll get a 3900kv inrunner and about a 4.5x4.5 prop with a 40amp ESC.Man I love the way they sound like a Formula 1 racer screaming by. |

I tried that set up myself, it wasnt to good. Try to stick with a 7 by 7 prop with a 80 amp control. Its a rocket. The small prop makes take offs harder and its not as fast.2nd place is the first loser. |

I've owned and crashed a couple. They are VERY fun!!!I use a Mega Motor 3100KV inrunner running on 4S 2250 Pro 30C packs from Thunder Power RC spinning a APC 6x4 prop. Top speed is somewhere near 140-150mph. |

I got one too. I use a trusty old Mega 16/15/3 with a 60 amp ESC on 3S. If you use a CAM Speed prop (5.5x5.5) you hit 130 in a shallow dive.If you skip me I can't play! |

Yea the price is right for the power pack. I heard it is a little slow with that setup. Don't know what slow means when I tried to nail down a speed.maa46646 you said use a 7x7 prop. The kit specs say 4.75x 4.75 with a 3000kv motor and a 3s pack. Does the prop clear everything okay? |

Yes that prop works great. you have to watch your amp draw. you need a 60 amp esc. What volt battery you gonna run?2nd place is the first loser. |

maa44646I was planning to use a bunch of Flight Power 3s 2070mah packs I have 3s packs 11.1 max. I don't want to buy 4s or bigger packs. I'm tired of all the different packs I have laying around and never getting my moneys worth. Flight time isn't a biggie for me right now. I want at least 2 minutes of climb and dive.So 7x7 prop will clear? I have a NIB 75 amp ESC laying around. What would you use for a motor? I'd like to keep it under $60. You say you saw a Mega 16mm or amp and 25 amp burst 3 pole motor work well?I may sound like an idiot, but it is because I am new to electrics, though I have 3 electric helis, but I had help selecting equipment and all greast advice, but now I want a Funjet setup. Thanks a million. |

16 25 3 you can run alot of power through them. when you get tired of the 3 cell which will be quick you can run up to 6 cells. so your not limited to just 3 cells. i ran 7 cells in my stryker on that motor. its a screamer on 7 cells.2nd place is the first loser. |
