In 1 year of running Align tail blades I have yet to ever have one split.I know of at least 30 others personally that have never had this happen. If you don't trust them, send them my way.You can run 95mm blades but will lose tail authority. If you like to Auto..why would you be risking blades?Have Rotors, Will Fly! |

I had my stock blades split along the trailing outboard edge after 2 gallons or so.I replaced mine with Radix 105s. I wouldn't go any smaller in size than 102mm's.Gaui Greatness X7, X5, NX4, X3 |

there is no clearance at all for any mistake with the 105s.unless you were to hike up the tail some.
or find a larger tail fin.I run 85.5s on all my .50s as It gives me way more room for errors.Im not a 3d Guy and care less about a little less authority.all my 50s still fly great with the smaller tails so was wondering what sizes i could get away with on the 700N. |

there is no clearance at all for any mistake with the 105s. I personally think larger struts is the best approach IMO or spacers to the existing landing gear assembly. I get a 3" clearance from the stock tail blades without spacers on my TuffStruts. With Spacers, it looks like I'm going off roading.. LoL. Trex700N Pro DX8-2.4 Spartan/BL9088

Jack it up I used the flat section from a old crashed set of landing gear, and added longer bolts.
Works out great not to high so that it looks bad but you get about 2 1/2"+ for clearance at the tail fin.
Keeps the green of the tips to. |

(bout to hijack my own thread)Wasn't there talk about there being some aftermarket landing gear being made? Cause yeah, I'd like my 700N to sit a little higher. And for those who care, I ordered a set of 105 Rotortechs!...now where was I, dh/dt = BS-dx/dt I will fly you forever... till earth do us part

1. You could turn the landing gear 180 degrees which (if I'm not mis-taken) will raise the tail and drop the nose.2. Put shims on the rear landing gear to raise the tail.3. During your auto, the last 20 feet from you, spin the tail 180 (tail facing you), then drop the nose as you land. This way the tail is nice and high. um the tail blades already have less than like 2CM of clearance with the stock LG on it. ( ive chipped them on spinup on a paved runway before the clearance is so tight.) how on earth would you lower this helicopter?people are stupid. |
