Windows 7 RC install problems

Hi guys, I know a lot of you know quite a bit about computers. I have been running Windows 7 beta since it came out but it expires soon so I downloaded the RC and when I try to install it it tells me I need to update my BIOS. I have a Dell XPS M1710. I went to the dell website and downloaded an updated BIOS but when I try to run it I get this error. I am no computer expert but I usually know enough to get by. I have never updated a BIOS before so maybe I am forgetting something.

Did you right click the .exe and select "Run as Administrator"?
Might work.

Vista/Windows7 handle hardware differently than XP. Is the BIOS update Vista compatible?Let's bring back survival of the fitest.

I didn't try running it as administrator but I did find someone that was having the same problem and they were told to reinstal windows xp and then update the bios. Not sure if it worked or not but I am trying it now.

I'm typing this on my blackberry so i'm sorry if it don't make any sense.

That did it. I updated the bios in xp and it is letting me install windows 7 now.
