SK360 Bank switching DX7
Been puzzling for a while now how to set up bank switching for the SK360 using a DX7 while still keeping GYRO gain on GEAR channel and GOVERNOR on AUX2. Finally figured it out and works like magic. Now I have Governor active in NORMAL mode at 1650rpm, IDLE-1 1850rpm and 2100rpm in IDLE-2. All of this on BANK1 of the SK360 which is set up for 3D. At the flick of a switch I can switch to BANK2 of the SK360 which has the SCALE settings, and which is also governed to a headspeed of 1650rpm. Thought I'd have to upgrade the DX7 to a 9X for an extra channel to control the bank switching, but it can be done on the DX7 using the progammable mixes. If anyone is interested I can post the settings. Let me know.

Cheers

Ok you have to have your gyro gain set up on the GEAR channel and your governor gain on the AUX2 channel. On the DX7 enter setup and make sure:

[INPUT SELECT]

AUX2 GEAR
INH GEAR

USe a Y-Lead from the AUX2 of the receiver and feed one gain lead to the governor and the other to the OUTPUT4 on the SK360 which is used to toggle between the 2 banks. Connect the USB cable to the SK360 and run the software. In the CONTROL tab check the box USE GAIN CHANNEL INPUT. This will enable a second ADVANCED tab so you will now see ADVANCED 1 and ADVANCED 2.

Click on the ADVANCED 1 tab and enable [USE BASE GAINS DIRECTLY]. Do the same on ADVANCED 2. Note that this will disable the pots on the SK360!
Click on the ADVANCED 1 tab again and set the Base Gains and Rates to whatever you want bank 1 to be. Do the same with ADVANCED 2 which will be bank 2.
I used the default 3D settings for bank 1 and the scale settings for bank 2.

Now to setup the mixes on the DX7.

Enter the setup menu and go to [PROG.MIX1]

My settings are as follows:

[PROG.MIX1]
AUX2 AUX2 ON
RATE: -70%
-70%
SW:ON
OFFSET: 0

The value of 70% is your governor gain setting for the headspeed you want in NORMAL mode as well as the headspeed for bank 2.

Next go to [PROG.MIX2]

My settings are as follows:

[PROG.MIX2]
AUX2 AUX2 OFF
RATE: - 9%
0%

SW:F-S12
OFFSET: 0

The value of -9% is added to the MIX1 to give me a governor gain of 79% which equates to a headspeed of 1850rpm.

Next go to [PROG.MIX3]

My settings are as follows:

[PROG.MIX3]
AUX2 AUX2
RATE: - 5%
0%

SW:F-S2
OFFSET 0

The value of -5% is added to mix 1 and 2 to give a governor gain of 84% which equates to a headspeed of 2100rpm.

These values are obviously for the governor I am using which is a THROTTLE JOCKEY and will need to be changed to whatever is needed for
your governor and required headspeed.

Thats it! Your flight mode switch will give you 3 governed headspeeds and at any time flicking the AUX2 switch from Position 0 to Position 1
will enable bank 2 on the SK360 and its associated governed headspeed.

Hope I made this clear enough.. If I've left anything out where you cant get it to work, let me know and I'll run through it again
