Cermark F-16 W/ Jett 90L For Sale
This is an extensively modified Cermark F-16. I bought this plane and took it to a friend's house to mount the motor in it, when we noticed the motor mount was rotten and a poor design. From there, we cut off the nose and proceeded to replace everything from the nose cone to the tail cone. It is now fully glassed and painted. There are NO stickers anywhere on it. The fuel tank was moved back to the CG so there is no CG shift in flight. Almost everything is new on the plane. The only thing I kept during the restoration was the Spring Air oleo nose retract. The mains are new from a KMP 109 kit. The airlines, the electronics, even the wheels and tires are all new. Most of the servos are Futaba except the rudder which is a Hi-tec HS 85MG and the fuel mixture servo is a Futaba knock off. The elevator is a 3010. The rest are all 3004s. There are 2 in the ailerons, 1 on the retracts, 1 on the nose wheel and 1 on the throttle. ALL fiberglass was layed up using West Systems Epoxy (about $140 for a quart and the little bottle of hardener). The belly pan was hand made out of fiberglass and carbon fiber. The gear doors were then cut from the belly pan. The door hinges, the air cylinders, and the T fittings are all BVM products. The rest of the air system is Robart. It has a large and a medium tank in it. The scale gear struts and trailing arms are custom designed but built with off the shelf products. The paint was rattle canned on with panel lines and access hatches laid into it. The weathering is a technique used by a friend who was a special effects building in the movie industry (if you've seen the helis in Godzilla, you've seen his work). The plane was then clear coated with House of Kolor and their flattening agent. It is flattened to 95%. I put an ASP .91 in it, but that didn't have the power. So I called Dub Jett in Texas and he made a Jett .90L for it. It will turn a 12"X8" prop @ 16,500 RPM! It takes off and lands pretty fast. We designed it to be a turbine trainer. The gear and gear doors add a lot of drag, just like a real jet. But take off, get up to speed and close everything up and it cleans up and flies FAST! I will only make local (Oahu)trades! I just got burned for $2100 on an overseas trade. I will ship it in it's custom crate but that will be some $. I have a bunch of photos of the build if you want them. I am asking $800 + shipping. Thank you
Jeremy
