620 blades on a raptor 50? Greetings!I am converting my Raptor 30 V2 to a 50 V2. I know that the 50 should use 600mm blades. Can I use 620mm blades? What is the range of blades I can use on a Raptor 50? Thank you in advance for your advice.*** Real Pilots BEAT the air into submission! *** |

I believe you can run 620's with the Titan however the standard 50V2 you're limited to 600's. |

Get the Titan boom and belt and you can swing the 620s. |

With 620 blades you'll need to check for interference with the tail blades. You can *usually* run 92mm tail blades without interference but not 95mm. But you should check since not all blade manufactures measure 620mm or 92mm the same. Also wide chord blades are different than narrow blades for reach to the tail blades. You *might* be able to run 620mm main blades on a standard Raptor-50 tail boom'd Raptor if you run 80mm tail blades though I'm not sure, you'd have to check for clearance again. |

Pinion If your going to use the 620's then you will need to change the pinion. Otherwise its a waste

You can't just change the pinion, you have to change the main gear too to the optional 8.7 gear set.I've flown both 600 and 620 blades on the 8.5 and optional 8.7 gears and there's not that big of a difference. If you streatch the boom you need the boom, belt and rudder pushrod from the titan. It also depends on how you fly whether you're going to trim your tail blades or not.Andy AMA 77227 http://www.jaxrc.com |

So am I correct in saying that there is a difference in the 50 V2 tail and the Titan tail boom???? I Purchased the kit for the 30 to 50 conversion and it has a tail boom, gear, and pinion set with it*** Real Pilots BEAT the air into submission! *** |

The only difference in the V2 and titan tail is the length. The boom, belt, and rudder pushrod are 7/8" longer to facilitate running the longer blades w/o whacking the tail blades.Andy AMA 77227 http://www.jaxrc.com |
