Question for the guys shooting indoor/outdoor Pano's
We have a Resort market here that tends to keep us busy most of the time with outdoor Spherical's. Now we are getting requests to shoot indoor sphericals of rooms and or party area's.

Are any of you doing indoor shoots like this. Most of our clients would like to add this on to the package. The feed back I have gotten is they like the look from the ceiling down to keep all the shots so they look the same as the spherical’s out side..

Getting ready to test a design to do this just wondering what everyone else doing this is using?

I'd just use the mast and it's normal head. Although some extra padding on the tripod may help although if two are doing the job one could just hold the mast straight with the other does the images, After all I guess the height will not be to much of a problem.

There was a firm selling 360 kit's some where but only went to about 2 m in hight to estate agent over here in the UK and they charged more for that kit than my 55 foot mask cost
The images were poor as well as they used a small compact and a mirror of sorts from what I remember.

Thanks. I've got a setup that basically we designed that will allow us to shoot up to 16ft but a couple of these are problems. Both have 10ft ceilings with a type of water garden running through them so a tripod or mast can't be used. It's needs to be shot from the ceiling but again there's nothing to hook to. Right now I'm working on a mount that lets you place the system against the ceiling then activate the 4 electric motors to hold it there while operating the camera. Thought there might be another way.

John,

For you I would suggest just to use what you have before.

http://www.airfoilaviation.com/helicam/tntinside.wmv

Or use a mast with a stabilized gimbal.

Better yet instead of trying to re-invent the wheel you can always post this question at http://www.panoguide.com and find a solution that is proven.

I would of been more help but I have 50 DJI autopilot units sitting on the bench that I have to get out before the weekend.

Hope you enjoyed the humor, it gets dry around here at times.

I really was hoping to get input from individuals that Were doing this. Have one guy that's in the UK that posted some good idea's but just won't work for this application.

You on the other hand tend to have an opinion on everything you get for free without knowing anything about any of it.

Thanks though I'm sure the guys doing this got a good laugh.

I would keep trying and pumping every thing you can possibly get for free until you learn to fly without all of this junk strapped to a heli. Practice is safer and cheaper!

I pay for everything I have. Just like when I bought mounts from you.

Junk strapped to a heli. Seriously?

C'mon John, I was just having a little fun.

How is that HC profi working for you that you advertise that you sell?

Again, post over at panoguide.com and you will find many who have done what you are wanting to do.

Its okay to let your guard down. I'm sure you have a fun side.
