I saw this muffler been used by Yasuichi Sawamura at the Japanese Jamboree 2009! Also I had a chance to fly a bit his Caliber 90 with this muffler! He told me, it can produce much more torque!
Also Funtech released a new 3D 710mm blades but I don't know anybody that have already tested them

I have this muffler.
I have tested it last weekend and will test it more today and I will be able to compare it with my Funtech A385.

This is a small video of Sawamura, at the Matsuyama RC club, flying his Caliber 90 with the new Funtech 3D muffler.

HI,

I've just finished about 5 tanks with the new muffler.
So far it seems to have lot's of top end power but a little less in the middle.
It also create less pressure to the tank, so I had to open the needle a little more.
I think the the A385 was slightly more stable and gave good power during all rpm.
I will test the A385 tommorow in order to crystallize the final conclusion.
The manifold is a little longer so you don't need any extension for some helis.
I'm using O.S. HZ non pump version, 30% CP fuel , T-rex 700 FBL.
By the way, according to Funtech the new B300 & A385 can work on both O.S. and YS, but it's not so clear if it's for the long or short stroke engine.

It looks like during rapid tic-toc it's not running as strong as the A385.
Never tried hatori, don't like the mounting method.
My A385 is an incredible muffler, it works so good on my SZ and HZ engines and gives great and contant power during the all rpm range.
I've tried several blades, since I fly aggressive, I found the Rotortech pro 690 and BBT Insane 693 was the most suitable for my flying.
Also tried Radix 710 SB, Align 690C & D.
Since I moved to FBL I flying lot's of high speed and loops and these blades working great at this style too including autorotation.

We got 'em here.
We just got these in and are shipping to USA Dealers. I too used the A385 and liked it alot. I like the one piece approach of this new muffler. Mine is connected to a YS 91 so looking forward to trying it this weekend. Sure looks sweet on the heli.

We also got in the other FunTech Mufflers as well.

Hi!
Sawamura use an OS 91HZ pumped
Probably at 2100 rpms
Edited: 2100 rpms on a Caliber 90 with a gear ratio 7.9:1 that means, the engine is spinning at about 16500 rpms

I've been using this pipe with the OS91HZ (engine RPM 15,580) since the beginning of the season with excellent results. The power deliverly is very smooth and has been very easy to tune.
