Metal head issue
Guys,

I have the TT metal head block on my MT, but the dampers seem really loose in the head.

I have test fitted the blade grips on the feathering shaft with one of the brass washers as shown in the manual - but if you grip the blades you can move them up and down quite a lot.

It seems as though the whole thing needs more washers to make the dampers swell and grip the inside of the headblock.

Please tell me if you've had this problem and how you run your damper setup.

I also have a metal head block but am using the plastic grips and I have some up and down movement like you have, I have been flying like this for a few months and no issues, tracking is perfect. Maybe someone with more experience can chime in.

I have the TT metal head block and grips on my MT. The head is by no means solid but it flys pretty good.Flybars. Who needs `em.

I have the metal head. With the stock dampers, I used shims to tighten up the play. I just installed a set of the Trueblood green dampers, they are tight with no shims, no slop anywhere. Either way, mine tracks good after initial adjustments.

Can you remember what amount of shimming you added.

What effect does loose or over tight dampers have on these little heli's?

I'm used to 50 size nitro and there pretty stiff but have much higher loadings.
