Switchglow and gov on DX7? Hey all,If I use a governor on my DX7, I don't have any spare channels left over. What if I want to add a switchglow? Is there a way to use a 'Y' harness or something to get it to work? There must be some way as it seems a lot of nitro folk use a DX7 and also some sort of remote glow starter....SkarnIt's better to burn out than to fade away... |

Yes, Y it to your gear channel (gain) & use gear switch to active switchglow. You will not have normal mode on gyro with this method.Switchglow has awebsite on couple of ways on using switchglow with DX7.Duc S Do It! Do It!™ AMA:REVOMIX RCK:24005615-01 |

I don't use rate mode anyway...but does that mean I won't be able to use my gyro sense menu anymore?SkarnIt's better to burn out than to fade away... |

You still have access to your HH gain but not your rate mode as it is for your switchglow.Duc S Do It! Do It!™ AMA:REVOMIX RCK:24005615-01 |

Easiest and best way imo is to Y it to throttle active at low stick. Eliminates ever having a hot start.RIP Roman Bill Jackson AlignUSA |

Easiest and best way imo is to Y it to throttle active at low stick. Eliminates ever having a hot start. This is how we run our SwitchGlo with DX7. Never need to flip a single switch. It is set to trigger only on low throttle, so it will never fire in idle-up or high thro stick in normal. In order to not trigger the SG when turning on, we move the thro stick to full then turn on rx. After gyro init, I attach the starter and move the thro stick to idle to activate the SG.You will still have full gyro function if you use a switch for that. I believe this is the best way to use SG as using the gyro switch still can cause an accidental hot start.www.JustinJee.com |

Excellent idea, thanks. But does that mean that it will activate when landing in normal mode? I guess since it will turn off in 10 seconds, that's not a big deal eh?SkarnIt's better to burn out than to fade away... |

Might even work for you since it will keep the plug hot on autos, so if you have to bail, less chance of it loading up and quitting.RIP Roman Bill Jackson AlignUSA |

Does it still make sense to put it on the throttle channel if you're using a MultiGov? Presumably you'd split the channel (with a Y) before the MultiGov.What is the actual triggering condition for the SwitchGlo Pro? My bottom throttle position in Normal Flight Mode isn't 0%, it's about 13%. |
