Scale Shell

Does anybody know of a scale shell for the Hirobo Freya Evo90.Mozzey

If you want to use the existing Freya frame as a platform, then you can use the Bell Jet Ranger and Bell 222/Airwolf fuselage. However if you want to use any other fuse like the Bell Tow Cobra, AH-1 Super Cobra, Dauphin Eurocopter, EC120/135 Eurocopter. Phanter/Tiger Eurocopter, then you need to use a different frame and that's the S-60II frame with SWM mechanics. With the S-60II frame there are some options you can integrate like the on-board start system. I saw this in one of Jeff Green's old video of the Tow Cobra.

If you want to use another fuse other than the Hirobo, then there's always Century helis which makes a decent scale, however you'll need to modify certain parts to make it fit and work. Hirobo scales are expensive and pricey, but the quality and fit is bar none.

as above but also look at the thunder tiger shells
the eagle fits into the tt md500 so the freya should
and i think it should fit the tt 109

Hirobo Freya Scale Shell

is that the tt md500 90 size shell then, sorry am that used to pod and boom..... i'm just after a shell that it will go straight into if there is such a thing.... sweet cobra vid too.Mozzey

yes the thunder tiger 90 size md500 (i think its listed as a 60/90 or a 60 but with the raptor 60 you need to cut the boom length on the body down, the r90 sits straight in)
with the freya you will need to alter the rear skid mounts, a simple plate will do, with the raptor you get a new rear frame to alter the rear skid mount, it won't be to hard to make for the freya

plywood 2-3mm thick and i would bring it so it bolts onto the front skid mounting as well
the wood (don't forget to fuel proof, epoxy glue will be ok for this)should bolt onto the front and rear skid mounts and then extented to get the rear skid mount correct for the md500 skids

i would first get the wood and mount the 500's skid to get them in the correct place and then fit the mechanics to the wood
leave quite a bit of wood overhanging the front and rear of the skids so you have room to adjust the position of the freya mechanics as needed
and do't forget to cut a hole out in the wood for the cooling
