Tracking problems

I've been flying my Mini for over a year now and have stuffed it a few times,but this last time after the rebuild the tracking is way out and there no getting it back.Simple rebuild main shaft feather shaft and flybar all are new and stright,I'm running trueblood green damperners and trueblood 325's blades.I have all linkages even and a level swash all the way up and down,I've been over this thing for ever and still it sounds like a lawn mower in the air and almost inch and a half out in tracking.What could do this

Have you tried a different set of blades?

Is it metal head? Make sure the metal balls are not loose at the grip.Duc S

I have tryed different blades,it is the metal block and upper arms not total head but I will check the ball right now Thanks

The dampners are new or tried a new set?
Possibly a bent main hub. If you spin the head, does it look like it is wobbling from the top?Duc S

Dampners are not old but I have new one to rey but those green ones are hard I dont think there worn out after about 20 flights .You think that hub could be bent

Not sure a bent hub would show up as a tracking issue.
even if the hub is bent the relationship between the linkages and the hub would be consistent and allow tracking to be set up but would show up as a vibration issue. ?

Is the feathering shaft 100% straight? a small bend WILL cause tracking issues that change as the shaft rotates in the hub.

You think that hub could be bent

It is just thought. Since you have did all you can to find the issue. Not sure exactly what you did. Anything could be possible. However, a bent hub would be more of a wobbling on the heli than a tracking issue. Sometimes the unobvious is the culprit. Sometimes.

I had a slight wobble on the heli and I had changed and swapped parts from a working heli around the head area. I finally found it and it boiled down to having a longer flybar versus a shorter flybar. The flybar may possibly be bent but it was never in a crash.Duc S

This is kinda silly and hard to admit, but make sure that the mixing arms to the blade grips are installed correctly, I had the linkage to the blade grips installed wrong and it flew but very noisy like a lawn mower and tracking was way off. This all started after a bad crash and a head rebuild. Just a thought.

Well I cant beleave it but those new trueblood green head dampners were only good for maybe 20 flights

I have the same problem - bad tracking problem after a boom strike. Had tried all the possible fixes and no help. I have not encounter bad tracking problem on any heli I have. Most of the time, changing the damperners, main shaft, feather spindle or the thrust bearings would solve the problem on Trex or my Proto. But not on Mini Titan!!

Finally, I took the whole plastic head out and throw it in the trash can. Bought the metal head from xmseller, so far so good but not sure it will happen again after next crash.

and 99% were eliminated with metal upper mixing arms

when the kits first came out 3 years ago,there were some issues,a bunch of fixes were tried.then it was determined that the plastic upper mixing arms were flexing.people put the metal ones on and there have been no problems since.the ones where the arms were not the fix can be traced to other issues like worn dampers.Just like this thread,the issue was worn dampers that had only 20 flights on them

I have metal upper arms on an all plastic MT thats over 2 years old and it tracks like razorsCompass helis Support Team

A mate and I too are battling with this TRACKING thing with radixs(and other brands)..

..WHY BUT WHY do they make 6mm grips when ALL carbons makes,even Thunder tiger carbons, are 5mm.

Ive done the following

1 Replaced the spindle
2 main shaft
3 TT cnc mixer levers
4 even replaced all servos
5 yes, got the new plastic main blade grips
6 and yes also loosened the head bolt
