Help pls, Charge/Discharge rates for my LiPo's

I just finished building my TRex450SE and I have a Thunder-Power TP610C charger w/ balancer and two packs. One pack is the Align 20C 11.1V 2100mAh battery that comes with the TRex450SE and the other is a Thunder-Power 11.1V 2250mAh 30C. Both are 3-cell packs.

Can someone with alot more experience in this provide me with some good "safe" charge rates and discharge rates for these batteries?
I am looking to fly it this weekend and also would like to know if you recommend a charge and discharge cycle with each battery before flying the heli?

First ignore discharge mode on the charger, fully charge your batteries and then use the heli as your discharger. Lipo batteries do not develop a memory like old NiCad and NiMh, so they do not need to be fully discharged each time before charging.

When you charge the safest way is to follow the 1C rule. Which means for every 1000mah in battery capacity you charge at 1amp rate.

So for a Align 2100mah lipo battery the 1C charge rate would be 2.1amps on the TP610C. For the Thunder Power 2250mah lipo battery it would be 2.25amps. The 1C charge rate is not effected by how many cells in the pack, only how many MAH capacity.

Many will say, including myself, it's safe to charge at 2C rate. But since you are starting out, I would stick to the safest setting (1C).
