Novarossi prices? Ok so I've been checking out websites and such because I'm itching to get a bigger bore engine (currently have two YS50). I'm also considering the YS56 (not out yet) but not the OS55 (don't want an OS engine again). To my shocking surprise, all the websites I checked, list the price for the new 57HR 3D at 245€... I'm sorry but are those guys completely insane or is Novarossi completely out of reality? I can get a YS50 for 185€ and a Hyper for €140. Is the 57HR 3D made out of gold to justify an price increase of over €100 (thats +US$140) in comparison to an OS hyper?People, get real! Considering that the 57HR works best with a pipe nobody has (and has to buy from Novarossi also) we are looking at 245€ + 90€... thats only like 335€ total plus shipping!I'm not giving US $467 Dollars for a 50 sized engine and muffler combo no matter how good it looks.I'm also concerned about spare parts and their price... I have not found any (which is already bad) but I saw a conrod for a 3.5cc novarossi engine costing $50...TonyPS - Just found a Hyper at 119€... jeez-------------------- "Perfection and patience usually walk side by side..." |

It's either: TT .53 or OS .55 or YS .56.At least the YS has regulated fuel flow which is a $40 justification in price. |

In the end a larger engine will put more strain on the airframe and components. The thoughts above are not a dont do it because I have considered this myself just because I have a OS 70 laying unused, and I believe some have been sucessfull. You apparently would like more power with low or lower running costs. With the price of nitro in Europe I concluded Webra and Novarossi engines worth considering. In the end as you know I have paid up and bought a novarossi (might also try a Webra, but bought from Germany ![]() ![]() ![]() |

A dry suit I want American made is about £30 extra over USA prices if bought from Ireland, but the UK importer in Scotland put his prices up from £775 to £875 to £975 ish and is now £1040 due to the £ falling against the $ I have NOT seen the price come back down as the £ strengthened back again, will I buy from them hell no.The engine thing though is i'm 53 don't know how long i'll be flying and the price difference is not that much for what is an important item to me in terms of how the model flys. the difference in price for me is no more than many spend on bling (nothing wrong with bling if that is your thing) so I went ahead. It is taking the chance it works out for me, but I will go with a cheaper option if one comes along which fills my bill as well as I hope the 57 will ![]() |
