Rear tail servo I put the tail servo out back on the e550 last night.
I don't know if this was the right bracket to order but this is what I used: TTRPV0511 Thunder Tiger Metal Rudder Servo Tray Raptor 50I had to cut the end off and drill another hole. I also had to drill a hole into the plastic of the frame to get the frons screw through. To make life simple. I just cut the back rod shorter, then cut the front piece near the front linkage then used the coupler from the original 2 piece linkage. I moved the front guide back some so that the rod could move some more vertically when the servo made it's endpoints. ![]() ![]() Battery was moved about an inch or so forward to compensate for the CG change. I think my CG may not have been ideal to begin with either. |

Great minds think alike. I just did the same thing today. I used the carbon rear servo mount from a Raptor 60 (PV0321). This servo mount is the exact same one as on the Titan SE. The other thing I added was to take a plastic spacer from the frame, cut it and make it fit between the frame halves. This way you cant over tighten and break the frame. I'm cheap and also used the original tail servo rod with coupler.JC |

It was noticably better than before. One caveat is that I did the Chinese weight mod at the same time. This cooresponds to what I've been doing w/ my 450's. I've been doing the chinese weight mod, going all digital on the tail and putting logitech 2100T gyros on them. I have one lone EXI 450 however that still has an analog servo but a Futaba 401. It's holding pretty well though.I did some simple flips can kept an eye on the tail. I also did some mid speed backwards flight and the tail was not blowing out on me at all. I have the Logitech 2100T gain all the way at 100% w/ the current arrangement. |

Mavrikk is a winner Thanks for the reply. Actually I just got those and am installing it. I really like the idea of not having to adjust the rudder linkage every time you adjust the belt.I like the hinge boom clamps – you don’t even have to remove the boom to install them.![]() |
