Help with binding issue on my SDX

I built the heli with the 135 swash setup. The problem i am having at full negative and full back elevator in the corners i am binding my washout link into the Jesus bolts. I am used to in the v-bar i can adjust virtual cyclic ring.

My pitch is -10 and 6 degrees of cyclic. The way i have it now i could never add more cyclic or collective pitch. All links were set per instructions.

Is it possible to increase the length of the links to the swash so it does not pull the swash down so far. I realize i would have to adjust my other links to match. Also i wondered if me selecting 140 degrees in my 9303 was the wrong choice?

Any help would be great.

Hi Dave, I had the same problem. It went away when I followed the SDX manual for the radio set up, they give the example for the Futaba 10C and a JR radio I forgot the name of...

No prob.You'll find the info on the parameters at the very last pages of latest version of the manuel, if not it should be a piece of paper they added to the kit, and the JR radio is the DXS9.

You can use the values on the Data Sheet; however, I found that I didn't get enough cyclic or collective with those values. They may be OK for a beginner, but most will want more. Just adjust the swash values until there is no more binding or use cyclic ring if your radio has it.

I traded some cyclic (±7.5°) for more collective (±12.5°). My values are 43% for Aileron, 43% Elevator and -50% Pitch on my 12Z.

I noticed the stock setting were way too low. I just set everything up till it would bind and back it off. Still i am only running 10 of collective and 5 of cyclic any more and it wants to bind.

I will fly it tomorrow and see how it feels. I feel like i must be doing something wrong, but all was set up per the book. The 9303 does not have the cyclic ring feature, i was for sure was spoiled from the v-bar.
