Can this be done?
Can I rotate the Gy611 sensor 90 degress? So that the wire comes out perpendicular to the heli?

In the picture I have it like it would be typically. But from the picture turn it 90.

The reason I ask is because im going to build a platform for the gyro to mount on the back and was wanting to be able to put a safety strap around it and I think that the wire will get in the way.

The sensor still rotates/senses around the same axis, right? This is what you should be asking yourself here.

Yes, the sensor can be oriented rotated 90 with its base in the same plane.
Have fun!!!

Only if you fly to the right all the time.

Just kidding, think about it, if it wouldn't work this way, how would you fly backwards or sideways?

As long as its mounted flat, and the frames aren't touching it and the wires dont have tension on them, you will be fine.

Logically it makes sense I just havent seen anyone do this and wanted to make sure before I do something dumb

And I have about a 1-1.5mm on each side that should be okay right? Or with the foam pads flex enough and hit the frames?

Thanks Guys
