what is the best, bar none gyro

I have been flying a blade 400 completely modified to where it really isnt even a bl400 anymore. I use the gy401gyro servo combo on it.

My question is, with a trex700 on the way what is the best gyro/servo combination to use on the 700??? I have been looking at the curtis youngblood web site and his offerings look good. But I am a newbie so??? If you had the trex700, price no option< what is the best out their.

611, Spartan, 520 there's probably others. Pair any of them up with a bls251 and you won't get much better. If it were me, and I was buying new right now, I'd get a 520Andy

Thanks Guys. I appreciate the input. Being a newbie I have contemplated suicide with working out the kinks in the blade 400. I actually flew the thing with the rudder servo plugged directly into the reciever, bypassing the stock eflite gyro. The thing that would get me is when the gyro would let go without notice. I average about 2 minutes flight time/hour repair time. Since the gy401 combo things are better. I am trying not to knock my own heli, but my buddie i fly with has 4 trex-450;s among others and he says hes never seen so many strange heli problems

Blade 400 is an ok heli, but the stock servos and gyro are junk.

520 is a good gyro

I dont think it can be said enough that the eflite servos are garbage. The hitech h65mg's blow them away. I went through a foamie phase and lost every eflite servo i used! It is suprising that eflite would use the servos they do on a heli. I am looking at the curtis youngblood 450 electric heli to replace the blade with. Would you say the cy is superior to the trex 450. I have also heard good things about the excell furion 450??

I fly JR 770, Futaba 611, and Futaba 520. By far, my favorite gyro is the new Futaba 520 gyro with a BLS251 tail servo. Awesome set up.It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Any top end gyro from any top end company (Futaba, JR, Spartan, Curtis, etc) will serve you very well.

Going from a Blade400 to a T-Rex 700N, wow talk about the shock you will be having once you get that heli in the air!

Right now I am very happy with my mini g and 611.

I just want to hear about how good something is from someone who actually paid for their product.

Anyone else's opinion about that gyro to me is worthless if they are paid or compensated for it.Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!
