FTC vs JK Publications

I just received two checks in the mail from a lawsuite filed against Kenneth and Teresa Taves, Dennis Rappaport, JK Publications, MJD Service Corp, Herbal Care, and Discreet Bill.

Apparently, the defendants were billing consumers without authorization for alleged visits to web sites. They had bought access to lists from a bank that provided the account numbers for more than 3 million valid Visa and MasterCard CC's. Rather than use the lists to confirm that potential customers had valid cards, the defendants debited the cards for web site services the cardholder never used.

The FTC was awarded over 37 million bucks....my share was 2 x $27.68.

Usually when you get a check in the mail, it's fake and as soon as you cash it you just joined some cult or something!

Has anyone else receieved money from this lawsuite?

Thanks for posting that.

I have not received checks BUT those SCAMMING bastards got my CC information.

I'll have to go back through my records but I'm sure it was the same deal.

Checked my Visa account one day and had several purchases I never made for dumb crap (like herbal supplements).

Cleared it up with the bank and then it was a short time later it happened again.

I'd love to get a piece of that lawsuit...all told they got me for a couple hundred bucks.When in doubt...auto out
