New frame for my 6/700
Planning to build some new frames for my 6/700. http://www.runryder.com/t508341p1/
A lot of modification. Stiffer, brake away tabs for canopy, better cg aso.. But what about make it bigger so 700 canopy will fit?
Or is it just extra weight?
Stupid?

Will it take the 700 head?

I don’t think so. 600 has 10mm main shaft and 700 has 12mm and 700 bearing block do not fit 600 frame. (I think) 700 has 2 bearing block, 600 has 3. But if you make a sleeve between 600 main shaft and 700 main rotor housing you can use the 700 head/fly bar/seesaw/flybar control frame/control and mixing arms with 600 swash and washout base. Or 2more sleeves for 700 swash and washout base. Then you have a complete 700 head on a 600 main shaft. Don’t know if it cud be done but some one has to be the first to find out.

Since you are making the entire new frame you should use the T700 shaft, bearing blocks, gears, and head. That way you have all the parts that are designed for longer blades and it will fly a lot better. The weakest point in the T600 power train are the gears and one-way bearing.
