How to tell motor bad? Since I am fairly new to the electric side of this hobby, how can you tell when your motor is starting to go bad? Are there any signs?
I ask because I have been noticing the power seems to be dropping off on my Blade 400 as I am getting age on it. Running the stock motor with a scorpion 45 esc, gy-401/9257 and hs-65 servos +-11 degrees collective. Thought it may have just been my lipos getting weak with age, but a new lipo feels the same. Symptoms are: On a full climbout it bogs MUCH more so than when it was new. When doing anything even halfway taxing to it, the headspeed decays. Time for a new motor? |
