The lane between boxes is the LENGTH (not width) of the landing skids + 1/2"?
That still seems pretty tight even when I'm flying straight down the lane. If I can't cross the line and I"m flying sideways, I only have about 1/2" of room laterally?

I would assume anywhere but I would also assume you would stand at the base of the triangle---not the apex, but I could be wrong

He didn't tell you, but in addition to the flight path, you have to do this hanging upside down from a tree facing the opposite direction using a mirror to watch the heli do its thing.I used to be normal, but then I started flying heli's....

I gave it a quick try. Note that I came out of the lanes a couple times PLUS I hit the ground.
This is one that one may need to practice for a while. It's a good exercise in hover precision as well.
I normally have a headspeed of 2000rpms w/this e550. I turned down my throttle curve some to soften it up. A calm day w/ a lower than normal headspeed might make it better.
I noticed that I'm better nose in than having my nose to the right. Geesh.
All I had were baseballs and I put them 2x the length of the heli apart from each other. 4' seemed close but would be easier I guess.

Not really ! Everyone has different skill levels so results will vary.
#1 we got till July 15 th.
#2 There are no prizes awarded
#3 Not everyone has a video camera
#4 Some people like to go out and fly and don't like all your rules

#5 You should have submitted your attempt first-good bad or indifferent--if your willing to judge others you must also be willing to be judged.
#6 Heli-KV did it inverted-- you yelled at him--

#7 Melnic touched the ground---you yelled at him

#8 Challenges usually don't get alot of entries
#9 Some people are too busy with family and work and fly when they can and don't want to set-up for a challenge.
#10 Some people don't "give a ****" about a contest

i would do the challenge if i had my heli had to fly to the state in a rush for work sorry about that.

let me see if i can get my heli down here so i can do the challenge to.

but guys its not a stressfull thing just fly have fun and fly safe again sorry but im going crazy down here is to cold for me to go out.(i live in a island all year round sun )
