wow what a helicopter
I dont know about you guys out there but I am having a blast flying this model. So much so that I had to do the second emergency auto. The first due to over amp draw on the esc because I was using the wrong motor. This time still my fault, I was having so much fun that I even didnt hear my countdown timer and run the flight pack out. Needless to say it performed the auto better than some larger helicopters I have flown, truely amazing this heli is.

Here is what I run now:

Hacker A-40 10L 8 pole electric turbine motor ( truely amazing motor )
Castle Creations HV-85 esc
T/P 4600 Mah 5 cell lipo ( 25c )
Mod.07 gear with a 17 tooth pinion.
Robbe Pro carbon 530mm blades

I flew my logo 600 for the first time last week and WOW this heli is a lot of fun. I have had all of the Align helis, from the 250 all the way up to the 700, and now I see what I have been missing. I still really like to fly my 700 though.

AND, tuning options are seemingly limitless. Vbar = a new machine. Blades, headspeed, tail, main/cyclic pitch - this is a very versitile machine.

Nope, but it has made me consider a 12S conversion kit for such a beautiful Heli!

WOW What a helicopter
After several flights now under my belt with 2 emergency autos completed I could not help but notice that this heli is very fast. I dont mean Rigid fast but pretty darn quick. I anycase this is one of the very best flying helis I have ever owned.

Don't hesitate to drop the headspeed a bit until you are well accustomed to its speed and agility. You don't have to run 2300+ right out of the gate. I'd been running 2300 on my vbar 600 until I discovered it's just as much fun at 2050 and much less stressful on me and the equipment.

Just a thought.

Ok, I fly both electrics and nitro. Both have + and -'s, I perfer nitro over electrics. I fly my electric if I am limited in time, otherwise I fly my nitros.

Nitro advantages:
Longer flight time
Consistent power until you hit the header tank, by then you should be landing anyways.
Purchase cost is lower than electric heli of the same size and setup

Electric advantages:
Power to weight, better pop and faster climb out
No mess to clean up
No noise
Quicker build time

Consistent power until you hit the header tank, by then you should be landing anyways. But less power for sure. When the electric power drops to the level of the feel of nitro, you should be landing it anyway.
Purchase cost is lower than electric heli of the same size and setup Not true, I own both a .50 sized nitro and a .50 sized electric and they cost about the same to setup RTF.

Okay, I've spent many years dealing with douchebags and arsholes. Both are generally less than ideal but can sometimes be fun. I prefer douchebags. Atleast they are "somewhat" teachable. Other times, I just can't stand either.

This is the e-Mikado forum. Go make your case to someone who cares.

I run 720's on my vbar 600. The Logo 600 3d/vbar will accommodate up to 650mm mains in the OEM configuration.
I stretched my razor 600E to handle 720 mm blades, only because I have a sh1t load of 720 blades and don't do any 3D.I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

I just switched to Rotortec 610's for that very reason - I have a set. I am interested in how well they will fly. I haven't tried them on a vbar 4.0 heli. We'll see when the weather improves.
