Is the Trex 500 the best heli in the world or what?! Ive had mine over a year now and everything I fly just isn't the same! It is just so quick yet stable! And the blades spin soo freely even with a belt tail!

Because of its stability it can be flown in the same space as a 450!

If I had to sell up cos money was tight or whatever my 500 would stay or you would have to prize it from my cold dead hands!

Im guessing ive had 300+ flights on mine.
60% of the time, it works every time!

I stopped counting at 400 flights, and the motor is still stock. The motor bearings need oil about every 15 flights or so.Jeff

I just hit 100 flights and have looked over the 500 and can not find any worn out parts. How many flights have you all had your ball links last? I do not want to have a ball link fall off and cause a crash.

You'll find the upper flybar control links will wear out first (the hardest to change!) but dont worry, mine got very slack but never came off and even if they did they will still be attatched to the flybar control cage. The Align links are the best ive seen.60% of the time, it works every time!

My 500 is still on the original links, now the 600 is another story it goes through links and balls like crazy. (500 & 600 use the same links and balls)Jeff

Somewhere over 500. Original links and stock motor. Have oiled motor twice and didn't seem to make any difference I could notice.

Fights So Far: 223 as of 06/20/2009, at 4.5 minutes per flight equals 1003.5 minutes or 16.7 hours of airtime!

Just converted it to flybarless a week ago and now it's even better. Noticeably more power and noticeably easier on the batteries for the same flight time and type of flying.

ive been flying 450s for 4 years, can do alot of tricks, but alot of crashes too, so small to c, been flying my new 500 w 40 flights so far, feels like a 90 to me. i just love it. so stable and huge after 450s. im not going to fly a 600, no way, dont want to be tempeted by larger batters and higher maintance. love my 500.
