I'd consider it a breakthrough for this hobby when the Amish guys decide to come out to view some of the action ▲ ▲ ▲ |

Those must be plainclothes (undercover) Amish, sent there to investigate all the blade-thwõpping heli hobby hubbub. Did they arrive by horse 'n' buggy?Did they ask for help raisin' a barn? Did anyone see Kelly McGillis nearby? op-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-t |

Wood is good Maybe wood blades will make a come back. Fine Amish craftsmanship.
For the Earth Friendly pilot, Green Blades, no fancy electronics, no gyro, no governor, just old school flying. What really drew them was the heli-landing-pad sign on the ground, looked like an SMV sign on the back of their buggies. Or it was the Curtis style hats they wear.RapRexSynLogo Pilot |

Maybe there is a 3D god among them and they were just sizing the competition, like Randy Quaid portraid an Amish bowling protegee in the movie "Kingpin". |

Take a close look at the check serial numbers...1001, 1001, 1002, 1002, 1003, 1003I think once the contestants realize there are duplicate checks floating around, its a race to bank to get theirs cashed first. ▲ ▲ ▲ |

What I'd like to see is a giant one of those vacuum tube systems you see at drive up windows.
That thing would have to be huge! You could probably ride in it.Imagine the look on the bank tellers face when you jump out of the tube at the drive up window. ▲ ▲ ▲ |

will there be anymore vids? Again:"So far, the 35 Friday uploaded videos are for every unknown afternoon flight. Still to come is every flight for Friday morning knowns, Saturday evening festivities, every flight for Sunday finals and the closing awards presentation. I am heading back to LA, so rrTV video productions are on hold for a few days. There are close to 100 more videos to upload." -Mark Ryder |

I am probably going to be assassinated after this comment but I am going to make it anyway. I like the idea of the XFC contest but I think that either the rules or the judging is making the flights WAY to artsy fartsy. I think all the pilots flew great so don't misconstrue this as a stab at their flying. I just think that I have seen many of the competitors throw down some amazing flights when they are not trying to choreograph a balet to music. I just think that the extreme flight championships should be just that extreme. That being said great flying to all that competed and congrats to the winners.Team Heli Wholesaler |

Special congratulations to Nathaniel Rice! Nathaniel made the XFC by winning the IAN contest at IRCHA.
He was nervous but he came to town and got up and flew a good flight every round.
Well done Nathaniel. Congratulations on competing in your first XFC! |
