So you are saying the prez is just a puppet with no real power is that it? Either he's in charge or he's not. If you can excuse GWB in this way it surely must apply also for any prez following him including the present so why the heck do you guys accuse BHO of anything if the congress and senate really are to blame? Or has the things changed now since the prez is from the opposing side?
That is exactly what I am saying. Hes a figure head, he can make some executive orders from time to time but as we see happening the next president can resind them. He can veto bills from congress BUT they can override his veto if they have enough votes. You all blamed Bush as he was in my eyes, the leader of the republican party and in the White House. Well guess what Obama is the leader of the democratic party and he is in the White House. Same Rules. Its his fault his problem. His ideal's are crazier then your's are tintin.

This country seems to run best when it's a republican in the WH and a democratic congress or a democrat in the Wh with a republican congress. Checks and Balances that way. When you have one party controlling both you get this crap. Happened when Bush and the republicans held the congress together. Did not change until the republicans lost the congress. It's happening again now with Obama and the democrat controlling both. Won't change until the republicans regain the congress.

Did not change until the republicans lost the congress. It's happening again now with Obama and the democrat controlling both. Won't change until the republicans regain the congress.
Although a few minor nuances change when one party or the other is in power, both the Republicans and Democrats are representing the interests of the lobbyists who give them large contributions. Politicians from both parties don't give a rats ass about any of us, or what we want. Proof of that is the fact that the majority of Americans did not want TARP 1 or 2 to pass, and we want immigration reform. What do we get? No immigration reform, and a bill for trillions of dollars that was handed out to failing big businesses.Helicopters are cool!

I am convinced that it could be possible to fix things under a democracy, but not the type of democracy being imposed by Washington.
You know we're not a democracy, right? We are a representative republic. Unfortunately, we are not being represented. The only organizations being represented, are ones with lobbyists and millions of dollars to give to politicians.Helicopters are cool!
