So 127 and no comment? I guess nobody wants a 50 sized version of the Srimok...

Or it could be that no one really knows if or when there is going to be Srimok 50.

Judging by the engineering sophistication of the 90 size bird, I have little doubt that Kasama could design an awesome 50 size version of the Srimok.

The more important consideration is whether or not the market would support an extremely high end (read expensive) 50 size machine. It seems to me the 50 size market is currently quite competitive, price being of prime virtue in a time of such dismal economic condition.

Hi,

I'm Thai, sorry about my English.
I also stick to Kasama's news in Thai RC webboard. There are many comments about Kasama 50 size production line, and one of Kasama team said (try to translate)

..."We have to make decision to open production line of 50 size in the near future, because if we make them fly as regular 50 size helicopter then we can set lower price, but if we intend to produce them, the quality must equal to SriMok 90. So, if we produce the 50, we cannot make the price too low."

Many of Thai RC-ers also request 50 size too. You can go to the most popular Thai RC site, even hard to read Thai, but there are some posts in English and many pictures of Srimok 90 in Thailand

wp814: Thank you for the added info.

About the price being high. I don't mind and I'm 100% sure there are many out there that won't mind either. One thing is an expensive machine, another is expensive running costs. The Vibe 50 costs as much as a Trex 700 around here and yet I don't mind having 2 Vibe 50 instead of a Trex 700. I appreciate quality with an engine that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I would buy a Srimok 90 in a heart beat IF I there were an engine with the same power as a YS91SR but with the consumption of my YS50 Impossible task

The .50 may be more expensive then competing 50s but still cheaper to buy, operate, maintain and repair then a .90. So there should be a good market for the .50.

I'd pay for the level of engineering and quality of a kasama product.

I'd expect the price to be around $750-850 and would be willing to pay that.
