So I finally talked to some guys about options for converting the vibe 90 and got it worked out. Im planning on running the RJX 90 flybarless head. They apparently make a 12 to 10mm reduction collar that I wasnt aware of so thats not an issue any more.

Also I decided to go with the Skookum control system as its a little cheaper than the mikado system. Plus some of the local guys are running this system with pretty good results.

If anyone else is interested in cost the skookum unit NIP can be bought on ebay with free shipping for $255 and the head is only about 120. I was doing the math on a crash associated with the FB is a potential of $90-$100 (flybar, cage, paddles). It just makes logical sense to me.

If anyone has done this already let me know how it worked out for you or any issues you had. I will be posting some pictures up of the install once I get everything in.

indeed Im working on trying to find the RJX 10mm 90 heads in the US so I wont have to get the reduction collar and mod it any. They sell them in Singapore and Australia for sure so they are atleast out there. Im going to call RJX USA tomorrow morning and see if I cant locate one maybe two if your interested. Apparently the RJX dealers outside of the states are not aloud to ship to the US and vice versa.

haha yeah Mr. Puss was mad because I hadnt fed him yet and I was to distracted to pay attention to him because I was working the this

I did in fact find a 10mm head. You can order them through BF carbon in canada or from overseas. Apparently RJX of USA has closed shop and no one here stocks the 10mm head.

I havent done the setup yet so I dont know about the pitch range. They only recommend +-10, so im going to set it up like the suggest and if its not like i want it I will increase it. You can get some ridiculous pitch out of it though since theres no way for it to bind.

Vibe looks great!

Thanks

They are the QuickUK wheels

Just select whatever color you want. When I ordered mine I thought they were just going to be drilled but they came like this.

well everything went fairly well today after I realized the stupid mistake I made while programing my radio. I for got to make a V curve on my throttle curve and when I would go inverted the gov would shut off and the engine died. I was able to recover it well enough and auto it in both times then I realized what I did and all was well after that.

The flybarless unit and head preformed flawlessly. Im very happy with it I just need to do a little additional tuning on it to get it how I like it but I think its going to be great.

Rolls and flips much faster, tic tocs are much sharper and clean

awesome so I wont be the only other one out there. I have only seen curtis run FBL on the vibe and then one other that was an electric conversion. You are going to like it though. I am getting a machinist to cut a spare main shaft down about a half of an inch to lower the head a little to get a little quicker axial rolls and just give a more streamline look.

Hey and that feels good too its not your typical run of the mill t-rex 700 that everyone has It maybe a little older but I just like to be different.

It only took me about 4-5 days get my head from BF and about 3 to get the SK360 from NY.
