I'm never happy with the amount I have;

When I'm low I say, "I gotta buy some!"

When I have a couple cases I say " I gotta get flying and use this up!"

When I have 1 gallon left I go buy another case. My LHS always has some in stock, lucky me.

Yep. same here. Buy in bulk. But I should have got more this time, though. The weather has been rather nice this spring. And I've gone through a little more than expected.....

Hell... I can fix that.

speaking of fuel storage, what is the normal shelf life for heli fuel?
An elderry ex-clubmate , who I hadn't seen for many years , passed away a couple of seasons ago , and I was given a couple of gallons of his fuel .
It had dates on it , it was 14 years old ! One had been opened , it was three quarters full , but it still ran OK .
I didn't run it in a heli , but I tuned an aero engine for maximum rpm on the old fuel , then on new fuel , there was only a couple of hundred rpm difference . So I used both gallons in fixed wing models .
I would say that as long as it has been kept out of direct sunlight , and the cap is properly sealed , the shelf life is almost indefinite .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

Thats good to know, thanks nivlek.
I asked because I have an old container of glow fuel that had been left open for several years, quite discolored but it still ignited easily with a match, I was actually surprised it would even burn at all.

ACKopter, if it was left open it's garbage now. It needs to be kept sealed to keep water from accumulating in it.

I did'nt think it would be any good so I disposed of the old fuel but it made wonder how long it could be kept if properly sealed.
