Guys i just installed this setup on my Hirobo SDX 50 and when i power it up, the servo really buzzes and sounds jittery. The horn looks like its still, but if you hold it you can feel the buzz! It stops if i turn the gain down to zero or put it in non-heading hold! Its connected up to an Arizona dual voltage reg with a 7.4v lithium Ion 2 cell pack. I have tried disconnecting the linkage with no improvment! Is this normal? Anyone else come across this?

Fairly certain that It's normal. Mine does it too, and it's BEEN doing it for well over a year no problems. Make SURE you set your ATV's at 150, and then use your dual rate screen.

You'll also want to use a bunch of expo (I'm using 45%), and your dual rate will also be quite low (around 40% depending on how fast you want your piroette rate). You can always go higher after you test fly.

For me, this gyro was a little touchy on set up. It is very sensitive. I found that flying in Rate mode at the Very headspeed I'd be doing the majority of my flying, and mechanically trimming was the way to get the most out of this gyro.
