I've searched this topic and only ran across a few on possible 700 skid modifications because the stock ones just look too small IMO. I've seen pics of the N9 skids and quick UK but would be nice to see more pics and options. Has anyone tried anything else like the Century Raven skids.. etc etc.

Your welcome, I have them on everything I own except my R60 and I just haven't broken the original gear yet. I really like the low profile look

Thanks guys. My main concern was that my tail rotors ride a bit low for my taste so I just added a combination of some old Century dampers and alluminum spacers to provide me that extra lift. Now I got a 3 inch clearance.

Tail Rotor has never been an issue for me. I usually float in anyway so I am always trying to hold the nose down to avoid boom STRIKE!

The 700n skids are the same as the 600n skids.

No, no, no! Use the spacers only on the back skid! Remove the fronts and you will have awesome clearance (and you may want to use thinner spacers...)

It's easy to find an excuse to do wrong. Hard is not to find an excuse to do right.

I would like to change the landing gear on both my 600 and 700 and the mavrikk super gear look to be pretty good. Are they much wider than the standard ( could someone measure the width for me please ) Do they look good on both the 600 and 700. Finally , where can you buy them. The standard gear looks too narrow and is not that stable either in the car when transporting or when landing doing autos.

Kiwi,
Check out my gallery. I have the Tuffstruts #3903 (AKA.. MA struts) on my 700 and absolutely love them. I think its what your looking for because it's much wider and very sturdy. Mine came with spacers and it lifts your stock tail rotors to a 3 inch clearance. They are a bit to big for the 600 and I wouldn't recommend it but fits the 700 nicely. HeliProz carry them.

struts
Hi Ross, They are known as Miniature Aircraft tuff struts

Tuff strut 1 are the standard profile and tuff strut 2 which are lower profile ones I used on my Predator Gasser (Gallery), they are similar in width to Raptor 60 skid sets.

Miniature Aircraft have all options on their site including complete sets, individual strut, skid and plug end parts, Ron would probably get them for you also from Rons heli proz south,

Scott.

the trex 600 e will also fit & are wider so a direct bolt on must be better than trying to mod someone elses unless thata the last option of coarse.

I like the picture of the one with the N9 skids. I think they look great.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!
