In the gyro send menu, their is two values

0:50
1:50

does both of these numbers need to be set over 50% to get HH mode?

I was watching the DX7V3 setup video, and the guy set both numbers the same amount, for HH mode

And I have had mine, like this ,

0:67%
1:45%

Above 50 is HH below is rate mode. 75 is 50% gain in HH mode.

Yeah but for either value, or set them both to 75?
Is they two values like left and right on the gyro?

0:75
1:75

Is this what you mean have them both at say 75 to acieve 50 gain?

And

0:25
1:25

would be Rate Mode?

Unless you want to fly in HH then fly without it, or have a higher gain value set up for some reason on the switch, just use the same number for both positions. Say 70 and 70 or whatever your gain is set to.

edited cause I found out I goofed
I was thinking about my ATV settings in which I control my sensitivity and + and - values are swapped with the gear switch. So as advised 50% and up is heading hold and 50% and below is non heading hold.

So in short, you'ld have to put them both the same
+50-100
0:70 /1:70 to get HH,

And both

-0-50
0:25 /1:25 to get rate mode.

0: = HH mode = ON
1: = Rate Mode = ON

HI
this is how i am reading this

if you have the switch in position 0 then HH is on

and if you have the switch in position 1 then rate mode is on

I could be wrong, but pos. 1 on the switch isn't going to put it into rate mode automatically. It all depends on what your values are. If you have say 60 and 60 the switch will do nothing, staying in HH mode.

Hi FlaG8r
that was how it was on my 9303 , one number had to be greater than 50 and one had to be less than 50

whichever was greater than 50 , that position was HH

and whichever was less than 50 , that position was Rate

but i am thinking the DX7 is setup different like RappyTappy
said here
With the DX7, it treats the values in the gyro sense menu like a ATV. The first value is + and the next value is -. So with

0:50
1:50

The 0 value is 50% gain HH and the 1 value is 50% gain in non-heading hold. Yo can put value 1 at 100%(or near it) and it will still be in non-heading hold
i will try setting both values to 75 and see if i can still get in rate mode , and post back later

I just came in from a hover around, with the gain set at

0:67%
1:67%

Seems to work fine.

Ok I got a question about Expo,

I have 10% ail, and 10 elevator and 12% rudder.

But it does not seem to be working,
Does it only work if I flip both switchs, the elevator, and ail switch on top of the radio?

I have a DX7 and it's on the same % for both, and the switch has nothing to do with it, both #s are the same, both in HH mode, so the switch has nothing to do with it in this case.

You don't have to switch anything for expo...those numbers are pretty low. Set them up for 30% on each and you'll see a difference. You can get into Dual Rates (D/R switch) later on. This will allow you to use 2 separate expo rates if you want.

Hi FlaG8r

i just got back from an errand and messed around with the settings in the DX7 , i am not sure what Rappy is talking about at this point , as it works the way you are saying and as i was used to with my 9303

if i set
0: 75
1: 75

then i am in HH all the time , regardless of the switch position

if i set
0: 75
1: 15

now i have both HH and rate , depending on the switch position

thanks
