Hello,

As you know, we are celabrating the 65th anniversary off the US ( and other)landing force in our small country: France in Normandy.
I am looking the celebration of this events on Tv and just need all simply to say to you:

"thank you"

perhaps your Father or Grand Father loose their life for us, just to give me, now, the possibility to right this topic...free...

Had an Uncle over there. He was shot in the neck during the closing days while going into Germany and liberating folks from some of the the death camps. He survived. He did not talk about it to much.

He's gone now. Died several years ago. Tough guy all his life. Drank way to much. Everyone was surprised he lived as long as he did. Did well for himself and his family. He always treated us good.

Just thought I would share that.

Thanks for showing your appreciation, and we appreciate that. I too had relatives there, and we all are thankful for what they did, and that we are now free because of it.

The government cannot give you anything without first taking it from someone else.
