very rare the bolt is missing from the kit.

I'm not saying it's missing - I probably just installed it somewhere else, but I'll be darned if can figure out where. I guess it could be missing - I'm short 2 3x10mm bolts. I just don't want to jump to that conclusion before going through all the places on the heli it could be.

When you say every bag you got had that bolt, does that mean you got more than 1 for your build?

Billm - I'm not sure I follow you. What are you replying to when you say that?

My problem is that I can't build the sucker and fly without the hardware, no?

I don't know what could have happened to the threaded bolt (the pinch bolt on the elevator arm is 2.5mm not 3mm) but I'll be happy to send you a bolt if you can't come up with one on your own. Call me.

John, I'm going to go as far through the build as I can before I pick up some hardware from you (I'm holding onto the possibility that the bolt is just hidden really, really well in one of the few remaining bags.) Currently, I need three bolts.

Is it possible to order 1 single thrust bearing ball for the tail grips? I don't want to drop $19.99 on the entire thrust bearings when I'm simply missing a single ball from one thrust bearing.

And, do you have any idea what the bolt I mentioned in my post above is for? Where could this mystery bolt go? Anyone? I've combed the manual and can't seem to find an application.

Why don't you just call me? A public forum is really not the proper venue especially when I am actively working to help you. This thread is at 4 pages and you're still asking basic questions we could have resolved in just a few minutes on the phone!

Moreover, it leads not just to delay, but misunderstanding as well, and frankly, it is costing me more time (and everybody else, e.g. folks giving up their personal hobby time) to guide you through elementary issues. No offense, but it's one thing for me to provide tech support (it's my business), it's another to do it here for this kind of stuff. Remember, most of these guys will give you the shirt off their backs but don't abuse them either - that's what I am for

JBEECH - Lots of respect for sticking with this guy to date. I'm all for helping beginners but the fact that such basic questions are being asked over so many pages would suggest he needs to find a local club

Not knocking you Triguy - just feel your progression would be a lot quicker and would assist all round
3D?? No - just another input error!!!

Sad to say but in America, our country is so vast a local club may be 150 miles, or more, away. In fact, I personally know of a fellow in Minnesotta who drove 4 hours for help - on my recommendation - precisely because I agree with you, e.g. nothing beats hands on help and guidance.

That said, however, I don't know this fellow's schedule, or circumstances due to the 'cute' system on RR of people identifying themselves by an anonymous 'handle' instead of their Christian names, which pretty much precludes my just looking in our database and calling the customer to offer our help.

Distressingly, it's the nature of consumer self-help to engage in childrens games and such Mickey Mouse nonsense like this, versus a professional help system designed to quickly and efficiently (and with accountability) offer aid and support. It is, however, the nature of the beast and is the explanation of why I spend so much support time here (instead of within our own support system).

In this sense, because this particular consumer has elected to avail himself of 'help' from a secret group of people possesed of a disparate range of talent and experience, e.g. folks ranging from 'expert' to 'keyboard-expert' (e.g. those who masquarade as the real thing), and everything in between. This means I find myself forced to try and guide him despite the limitations of such a slow and ineffcient method of communication, which is very wasting of our limited support resources (me). Consequently, I cannot help but try to aid him, but at the same time I feel frustrated for the ongoing delay (and sad for him as well). Heavy sigh.

John and all - apparently I've come off the wrong way. John, I'm not trying to use a public forum to berate you, your product, your service, or engage in "Micky Mouse nonsense." Thank you and everyone for the help and time you've offered in the past few weeks. I see now that the issues I'm having are because of my novice status and I'll be seeking out a local club for hands on help (there is at least one). John, I'll contact you directly if I have any additional questions. Thanks again, everyone, and I do sincerely apologize for wasting anyone's time with my questions/issues.
