Hi guys,

I just received my brand new Align DS620 and when, unplugued, I turn the horn smoothly... it does a strange crish crish sound... when I turn it fast it doesn't... is this normal?

Thank you in advance.

Does it sound/feel kind of... "crunchy"? (for lack of a better word)

I noticed that my 620 does that when I rotate the horn. It always has. Was wondering about this myself. I also noticed that it is *much* louder than other servos when I power up the rx and move the rudder stick.

It's never given me any problems after several flights though.

Thank you! So I shouldn't be afraid to use it for a throttle servo.

I think you'll be fine. Unless we're the only two people unlucky enough to have faulty 620s

I wouldn't mind getting a couple more people running the 620 to chime in and corroborate our findings though. The more data, the better.

I have DS1015 for cyclic and JR8900 for tail.

I flew few flights with DS821 on throttle and then I read here and on Horizon than this servo was dangerous on throttle because of the vibration... anyway I bought a Multigov who needs a faster servo.
