IMU modules like that almost always do the complex maths inside the PC - not in the module. It might make the basis of the sensor suite - but there is a LOT of work to do on top of that.

Making an IMU work in an low-power embedded module is pretty difficult - which is why spartan gave up on it. They smelt money elsewhere with something easier.
