I have been helping a friend with a second hand Esky Honey bee.
I know what your saying .

Anyhoo, I got it flying really nice, modded the crap out of it with a bunch of left over trex stuff I had. Great little flyer.

He crashed it! Third hop of his first battery. Of course, no big deal, fix it, repeat.

He stripped out a servo,(120 CCPM stock esky digitals), with no matching servos locally I bought him 3 HS 55s for cheap. They run the other direction.
Soooo, I reversed the throtle switch on the radio,(non computer radio)
The servos all run the right way now, BUT, the ESC is backwards, ie. will not arm.

The only way I have figured to correct this, is with a "in line reverser" on the ESC.

Will it work????

Just like to get some opinions before I order one.

Still asking why

Try putting one of the remaining servos in that place and put the HS 55 in the elevator slot and see if it works that way.

I told the doctor I broke my leg in two places. He told me to quit going to those places...

Short of using a better radio, I'd say it's worth a shot. Of course, if you're really good with a soldering iron, servos aren't that difficult to reverse.

You would need to swap the two wires going to the motor from the amp, and the two outer wires on the servo's pot. And perhaps find a way to re-center the servos if necessary.

I assume that on that transmitter, reversing the throttle function also reverses the collective pitch function since the radio is not programmable, except for reversing of channels?

Don't see why it wouldn't work.

Would be cheaper to just buy another set of gears.

LHS has gear sets for HS55s. Trying to get him setup on stuff he can buy local. The only thing left that is Esky, is the airframe and TX/RX.

Need to find him a cheap DX6 TX/RX. Then mabey a cheap Titan, or Trex airframe.
Keeping a friend intested in this hobby without breaking the bank, is like walking on glass.

Seems like everybody is broke.

that's how America operates and when you are broke you use credit! and when you cant pay for the credit anymore the government bails you out and goes way into debt and the dollar depreciates and we become one step closer to the second world
