My 400, 10, and 500's are fantastic. There is no reason other manufacturers cannot(or choose to not) engineer the same/similar life-cycle into their products.

We as consumers usu. choose to buy bling expecting a greater outcome, which does not necessarily equate to a better, more effective product.

I ditched my 500 inverted recently and didnt damage the spindle, main, or tail shaft.....I spent thousands on vigor/vibes on equivalent damage.

Im a believer in plastic/composite where its needed, as opposed to needless bling, seemingly the same stance as Mikado. Ive never been brand sensitive, yet after flying their product, as well as most others, ive become a true fan.

How could you down grade your Logo by using anything that had that name on it. What a terrible thing to do to a Logo.

Hmmm. This thread got me thinking. So I went back into my logs and came up with this:

Since the Las Vegas Competition in March, my son Kyle has logged as of yesterday 617 flights in preparation for the XFC coming up in 5 days. We're talking 617 aggressive 3D type flights with 2300 head speeds.

What Mikado parts have failed (including Mikado electronics)? None.

What Mikado parts have needed to be replaced due to wear and tear? Three belts and four landing gear struts (wore them down to the skid pipes sliding on asphalt).

What parts have I changed as preventative maintenance? Every 150 flights or so the head dampners, thrust bearings and inside blade grip radial bearings get changed. Usually the bearings could go longer, but while I have the head apart to change the dampners, I just change those bearings so I don't have to do it before another 150 flights.

And, keep in mind the machines weren't new at the beginning of the 617 flights. They had just finished a previous 500+ flights preparing for Vegas.

Yep, as the title of this thread says, "These Logos are a maintenance nightmare".

Dave, does Kyle even sleep to obtain so many flights? That's an amazing amount of flying time, so very jealous.

With so many flights... what Lipo is Kyle using? And on average how many flights on a pack b4 Kyle thinks its not to par with his flying?

yes terrible maintenance nightmares!

L14 840 flights....L600 330 flights...not flying nearly as much as Kyle, about 40-50 flights a month on average.

also want to know what kind of lipos you are running an how are they lasting??

pretty much the same maintenance routine as everyone else....except I'm a little hard on tail parts but thats not the machine's fault.

I have had 124 flights on my Logo 400 then I converted it into a Logo 10 (only replace the dampeners, belt, pushrods and tail boom) and it has gone though other 80 flights. The heli still looks so new that I can sell it as "LIKE NEW" condition.

Their designed to break, so you will keep buying parts and making
the hobby shop rich.

After maybe 50 flights on a logo 20, with no 3D whatsoever just
flying around in figure 8's I discovered after checking a ball link,
there was a plastic BALL, on a plastic link at the head connecting the flybar.

I barely put pressure with ONE finger, and it pops off, and it was flying like this, but I am sure it was getting ready to crash soon.

I fly and then I fly some more.
If it don't glitch then I won't crash.
