How sad... I grew up watching Kung Fu, and one of my favorite movies is Cloud Dancer. I'll miss the old dude!

I'm not sure that he did. I have been hearing conflicting reports of natural causes, and that he hanged himself. I sincerely hope that it was a natural death.

Looks like DC may have been dabbling in the centuries-old art of auto-erotic asphyxiation. Michael Hutchence of INXS died under similar circumstances.

Some Carradine fans will find themselves a bit choked up about this.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Police arrested Uma Thurman in her Los Angeles home Thursday afternoon.

Thurman, 39, is being held as a suspect for killing of "Kill Bill" co-star and kung-fu expert, David Carradine, 72.
Carradine was found dead in a Bangkok, Thailand hotel room.

Initial police reports described the incident as an apparent suicide, but are not ruling out the possibility of homicide as recently uncovered evidence at the crime scene includes a Hatori Hanso samurai sword, sources say. The Hanso sword, a one-of-a-kind, is believed to be a prop from the set of the Quentin Tarantino film, "Kill Bill".

Thurman played the lead role in "Kill Bill". A line from the film includes, as spoken by Thurman, "I am going to kill Bill.", police say.

Not as cold as this beer... but hey -- through humor our grief may ease, no?

Surely there's another about a grasshopper break-dancing on rice paper?

And stop calling him Shirley.

Apparently he's been battling thoughts of suicide for a long time. Looks like he finally lost that battle. Do your research before you start speculating....

As much as I enjoyed Kung Fu, I can't help thinking how much better it would have been if Bruce Lee had succeeded in securing the role.

""Apparently he's been battling thoughts of suicide for a long time""

I didn't know this, but I have to say that David was at one time a long time user of hard drugs,,

sorry Yug, the show would have never been as good with Lee !!

Well, here's a bit more from ABC News:
The mysterious death of actor David Carradine -- perhaps by auto-erotic asphyxia -- focused renewed attention on a practice that is one of the greatest and most dangerous sexual taboos.

The 72-year-old actor was found dead in a Thai hotel room closet in an intricate web of ropes -- one around his neck, another around his genitals and the two tied together, according to Thai authorities.
Perhaps not suicide as originally reported. But maybe he died happy.

it appears it wasn't suicide at all. what a way to go. wasn't able to keep that one a secret.

for that to be the thing you're last known for. didn't think that one through real well.
