That would take 4 batteries.

I told the doctor I broke my leg in two places. He told me to quit going to those places...

I guess i'll explain...

2 x 3s 2500 mah in series = 1 6s (22.2 volt) 2500 mah
2 of these in parallel doubles capacity (22.2 volt 5000 mah).

I told the doctor I broke my leg in two places. He told me to quit going to those places...

hi, the S in 3S and 6S denotes how many cells are in the series... if you wire them in series, it will give you 6S... you will add the voltages of the 2 packs but you are still at 2500mAh...

if you wire them parallel, it will give you 3S2P... your voltage will stay the same but your capacity will be at 5000mAh...

you can't have both increase in capacity AND voltage total at the same time...

You can't join two 3S 2500 batteries to get a 6S 5000. You will get a 6S 2500 (series wired), or a 3S2P 5000 (parallel wired).

If you hook + to + and - to -, you have wired the two 3S packs in parallel. The voltage remains at 3S levels (11.1 V), the capacity adds -- becomes 5000 in your case. This would be the 3S2P configuration .. two three cell packs wired in parallel.

If you hook one pack's + to the second pack's -, and the remaining free leads connect to your power connector, they're wired in series, and you will have the 6S stuff you're looking for (22.2 volts), but the capacity remains at 2500. This is the 6S1P configuration. simply six cells wired in series.

It not as easy as most people think ++ and -- does not always give what you think, it depends if you put them in series or in parallel.

Connecting in parallel should only be done with same brand and same life battery. When charging, balancing is critical. Just stick to series hookups. I use 5S 5000mah X 2 in series to get 10S 5000mah.
EDIT: By the way, if you are hooking up lipos in parallel and you screw up on the polarity you will get one hell of arc weld flash. In series if you get it wrong, just no voltage.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Wired in PARALLEL -- Volts remains same. Capacity ADDS.
Wired in SERIES -- Volts ADD. Capacity remains the same.

The picture shows the two different wiring schemes:

A Razor 600E, swings 620 mm blades, will be using 710 mm later with some gear changes.
Used for amature photography.

The exact same is to be said about wiring in series, sir.

It's easy to find an excuse to do wrong. Hard is not to find an excuse to do right.
