My dad posted these up a while ago and had some trouble communicating with a buyer. They are still available. Both have 4-5 gallons through them. (we share gas so its hard to know exactly). I'm upgrading to a 600N so they need to go. I do have feedback on this site for a couple of throttle jockeys I sold. If more pictures are needed feel free to let me know. Engines are in San Diego if you are local and want to deal directly that would be ideal.

The pictures are in order, of the close pics of the piston, the first two are one engine and the next two are the other.

Stupid question, but how is a YS-50 not the perfect engine for a 600N?

? ? ? ? ? ? ?

I like the OS better, and it seems to work better with the multigov. I have both but one or the other has to go.

Thanks for the info . . . . to each their own!

<Free Plug>

My experiences have been the exact opposite, for anyone considering a YS motor, these are the ultimate! I walked away from O/S two years ago or so on my 50, 80, and 90 birds and have never looked back . . . So, anyone looking for an outstanding engine for their 50, these are it!

Tim,

Thanks for the plug. Personal experience and preference definitely apply. Its amazing how divided people are. But if it works for you go for it.

I think its mainly a matter of realizing that YS engines tune a bit differently than OS (or pretty much anything else for that matter) and once you get that down, you wonder how you ever lives without it.

Even here in Texas, with massive temp variations, I don't think I have had to touch a needle on my 80 in three or four years . . . . The rest are newer, but so far, pretty much the same story. I couldn't get an OS50 to hold a tune for much more than a few hours . . .
