I have tried heating the blocks and cooling the bearings, but my replacement main bearings just won't make it into the bearings blocks. When I measure the blocks, their inner diameter is 23.6mm whereas the bearings outer diameter is 23.9mm.

One of the bearing blocks is still in the heli, and hard to remove without taking the frame apart, so I was trying to avoid the 350F oven technique used for engine rear bearings...

Advice?

its called an "interference fit"

yes, remove the blocks and bake them at 350.

when installing the new bearing, bake the blocks again and freeze the bearings, they will drop right in.

I cook them with olive oil too. A little hot sauce spices things up as well.

The secret is to mix a bit of teriyaki sauce.

I tried this as well and failed. Ended up buying the whole replacement bearings for $30...

IT's what I do.
