I've just got my 450pro in the air and it fly's absolutely magnificently. However, the motor comes down pretty hot to me. I was temping it after a 4:40 minute flight and doing medium 3D and it's 140 deg. according to the temp gun. Another thing that's weird about it is that the bottom of the motor is 140 and the top is 128 degrees.

Has anybody had any experiences with this?

I will normally blow off 8 packs in a row with about 2 minutes between packs and with the motor getting this hot I'm a little afraid to do that.

BTW, the whole head and blades turn freely--no binding at all. There's ample lash between the main gear and pinion. Does this motor just run hot or does mine have a problem?

I had similar results when I flew mine for the first time yesterday. After flying 2 packs back to back the temp gun read 152 degrees. Hot but still 30 degrees less than melt down temps. I don't worry about motor temps until they approach 180-190. The esc was close to ambient and the batteries showed 105-110. The temp reading at the bottom is more because the temp gun can see the rotor with less obstruction.

I would not worry this is typical on all Align motors.
