Yes me!
I got my Outrage Pipe couple of months ago. Mounted it to my O.s and it really ran well and had loads of power. After 15 flights my engine started overheating. Why I know? Because my carbsmart was running full rich all the time and it never had done that.Well I removed the muffler and there was the loud rattling noise of the broken baffel somewere inside.Well wouldent have been so bad but it also toasted my O.s wich had completly overheated and has piston sleeve etc damage. I am getting a replacement sent for the broken Outrage but I will not mount it anymore. I got a MP 5 50SB instead.Reason beeing I do not want to keep on buying new engines etc.I heard the first generation of Outrages had baffelissues but I already had the nect gen wich are supposed to be fine. Well it wasent.

After about 20 flights, finally my outrage baffle became lose inside started sliding back and forth. At this point I will send it back to Outrage and have them send me a new one. I did put my Curtis Yong Blood MP5 on.

Outrage's response
"Hi Tamer,

we are pretty sorry to tell you that the pipe is over our 3 months
warranty.

However, we can offer you 50% off to get a new pipe. Please let us
know if you agree with this.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon."

LMAO!!! I will never get one again! Always the same story. 3 months sooo and now? mine did 15 flights!! And it took my Hyper with it, never again. you buy cheap you buy double or tripple.!!!My Outrage was the "Updated" one with the black deflector that came with it and it still broke after 15 flights like the first ones so were is the "Update"?? Whatever I am sooooooo happy with my MP 5 SB and quite sure it will not kill my Hyper.

yikes
3mos warranty and 6mos crash warranty

the way they promote the muffler it appeared to me the crash warranty would be at least for 1yr. 6mos does me no good really as about 6-8 mos around here you can't even fly anyway due to weather and sucky wind/rain.

Plus with all the weld issues I'm really re-considering any future purchases. I like the Outrage mufflers I have, and cross my fingers mine hold up. BUT with seeing the weld in the baffles fail, and the whole front can fall off of Ray's pipe, it makes me think it's really luck of the draw if they hold up or not. Kinda like the Align pipes.

that's bs. If the product is failing and it's obviously not the users fault. Why wouldn't the manufacturer make it right?

I was a big proponent of the Outrage mufflers, but this 3mos warranty has me a bit steamed, and I'm not sure I'd buy another one at this point. Will probably depend on the luck I have with my current mufflers, but still 3 mos . It would be one thing if they had a track record like Hatori for excellence. However, with a track record for baffles/welds failing like or worse than Align mufflers, makes you nervous you've flushed your money down the crapper.

I talked to Brian at CY and he said that CY offers the 6mos crash replacement, but basically a LIFETIME warranty for the purchaser, for any manufacturing defects.

That's what I call standing behind a product. If Outrage really wants their muffler business to flourish, they will #1 make them better so as not to allow such failure rates, and #2 stand behind any such failures and not BS the customer.

I have 3 Outrage pipes(2x 90's and 1x 50) and knock on wood they have been great for me. I had a friend with an OS90 pipe and the whole front can fell off after about 80 flights. He had one crash on the pipe, so I can't say for certain it wasn't the crash, but the heli didn't hit that side, and the only blemish on the pipe was a small ding in the back of hte pipe from where the skids broke and hit the pipe. The pipe eventually broke on the FRONT. I think it would have failed either way.

I'm not really sure what the deal is with muffler welds failing. Bad prep or crappy weld I'm not sure. Align and Outrage seem to use teh same drunken welder/factory.
